The Subtle Art of Not Ruining a Good Photo

The Subtle Art of Not Ruining a Good Photo

You've taken a genuinely good photo. This is rare and should be treated with care.

Naturally, the next step for most people is to ruin it. They add filters. Heavy ones. The kind that make a sunny afternoon look like the opening scene to a crime drama.

Then they print it on questionable (usually gloss) paper and place it inside a frame that appears to have been designed during a moment of confusion.

The result is tragic.

A good photo doesn't need rescuing, it needs support.

Keep edits minimal, print it properly and choose a frame that compliments it rather than competes. Think of the frame as a stage. Not the performer.

When everything works together, the photo does exactly what its supposed to do - quietly impress.

Looking at the image our customer decided to let the green tennis court be the focus and instead opted for a the Terra Nova Grey frame to compliment the grey buildings in the background.
